Lesson Availability

Lessons are given to juniors and adults seven days a week.  Please e-mail me at cvjuniortennis@gmail.com for detailed information.

Lesson Policies: Please click on  2017 CV Junior Tennis Updated Policies & Fees to access current information.

Group Lesson Policy – Each group session includes a series of eight consecutive lessons.   The reason why I have an eight lesson commitment is that it may take four lessons for your player to become comfortable with me and my staff, the skills and drills we teach, the games we play, the equipment we use and the courts we play on.

It is similar to the first day of school!  No one is very comfortable on the first day of school, but by the eighth day, most students settle in.  That happens in tennis, as well.

Lessons are continuous.  Your player will be automatically registered into the next group of four lessons unless you cancel (see below.)

Private Lesson Policy – Private lessons can be booked one at a time.

Payment Policy – Payment for the series of eight scheduled classes is due on the first day of the eight lesson series.  PayPal (the service fee is the responsibility of the payor), cash or check accepted.

Lesson Cancellation Policy – If you sign up for lessons on a certain day (e.g. Tuesdays), you need to give me ten days notice that your child is no longer going to be enrolled in tennis lessons.  This allows me to find a replacement player so that the other parents will not have to pay an additional fee for a semi-private lesson, rather than a group lesson.  One week cancellation is fair to me and a consideration that you would extend to any small business owner, like a piano teacher or a martial arts instructor.

Overdue Payments – You will receive an e-mail reminder if payment isn’t received on the first lesson of the new four lesson series.  There is a ten day grace period only.   When payment isn’t received by the tenth day after the first lesson, you will receive a late payment fee of $5 for every lesson not paid.

Rain-Out Policy: If one of the classes in a series has to be cancelled due to rain, there is no charge, and your payment will go to the next class in the series.  For example, if it rains on 12/5, your payment goes toward the class on 12/12, and the series gets extended.

Emergency Information Form: An online information form is required for every student taking tennis lessons.  If an accident were to occur, I need to be able to get medical help for you or your child.  If your e-mail or home address changes, please complete a new form.

Weekly Lesson Fees for Juniors:

  • $68 for four 60 minute group lessons (4+students) =  $17 per hour per student.  Generally, I have a trained assistants help me with a group of eight or more.
  • $88 for four 90 minute group lessons (4+ students) = $22 per 90 minutes per student
  • $68 for a 60 minute private lesson
  • $128 for four semi-private lessons (two students) =  $32 hour/student
  • Consultation fee = $30 for 30 minute player assessment
  • Please email me for adult lesson fees and location

NOTE: As a courtesy to the other students in the class and me, please e-mail me if you or your child cannot attend the lesson.  I would greatly appreciate it so I can inform the other students, as well as make alternative lesson plans.

I offer daily, bi-weekly, weekly or bi-monthly lessons, and arrange clinics with other students of similar abilities and ages.
